There’s something truly magical about a buttercream that holds its shape, spreads like silk, and offers more than just sweetness — one that’s secretly nourishing, beauty-boosting, and rooted in the timeless art of wholesome baking.

Today, I’m sharing my Bloomery Buttercream — a signature recipe designed with 5 Bloomery Baking Secrets to help you craft frosting that’s not only stunning but deeply satisfying to make.

A New Standard of Buttercream

Unlike conventional recipes made with refined sugar and processed fats, the Bloomery Buttercream is built on the principles of my Base to Bloom™ Method — using glow-giving ingredients like grass-fed butter, collagen, and coconut cream for a result that’s elegant, effortless, and secretly good for you.

This is more than frosting.
It’s structure.
It’s nourishment.
It’s beauty — whipped into every bite.

Let’s begin.


✦ PHASE 1: Creaming the Butter

Every beautiful buttercream begins with butter — but not just any kind.
We begin with grass-fed butter at the perfect temperature.

🌸 Bloomery Baking Secret #1: Your butter should be soft, not melted — leaving a gentle indent when pressed. This is the secret to a cloud-like whip that feels luxurious, not greasy.

🌸 Bloomery Baking Secret #2: Always use the paddle attachment, not the whisk. The paddle gives you structure without unwanted air bubbles — creating grace, not gaps.

Whip until the butter becomes lighter in color, pale and fluffy. This step lays the foundation for everything that follows.


✦ PHASE 2: Scrape & Whip

Pause. Scrape. Whip again.

🌸 Bloomery Baking Secret #3: Whip longer than you think. About 10–12 minutes total — stopping every few minutes to scrape down the sides.
This ensures every element blends in perfect harmony.

You’ll begin to see the transformation — pillowy, pale, and full of body. That’s when you know your base is ready.


✦ PHASE 3: Sweetener & Collagen

Now we bloom our base.

Sift in your powdered sweetener of choice and a scoop of collagen — my secret for glow, structure, and nourishing protein.

🌸 Bloomery Baking Secret #4: Always sift. This ensures the silkiest texture. Lumps are the enemy of elegance — and we’re all about grace here.


✦ PHASE 4: Vanilla & Liquid

Add pure vanilla extract, then slowly incorporate full-fat coconut milk or organic whipping cream.

🌸 Bloomery Baking Secret #5: Add your liquid slowly, on low speed. This prevents curdling and gives your buttercream a glossy, whipped finish — as if it were silk in motion.

As it blends, increase the speed gradually. You’ll witness a transformation: from glossy cream to the dreamiest texture imaginable.


✦ Flavor Variations: From Base to Bloom

Once your base is mastered, the flavors can bloom into anything you dream:

  • Strawberry Blush — add freeze-dried strawberry powder

  • Chocolate Glow — mix in raw cacao and a dash of espresso

  • Lavender Vanilla — steep dried lavender in cream before whipping

  • Citrus Cream — add orange blossom water or lemon zest

  • Spiced Tiramisu Bloom  —Whisk in creamy espresso and a dash of Ceylon cinnamon 

Each one is free of refined sugar — but full of femininity and function.
